I’m not quite sure what to say about these tracks, or why I made them. But, I like music to have a sense of humour to it, and these two tracks, especially the Spice Girls one, is definitely an example of that. At least in my eyes… I think that .gif expresses things better than I can. Enjoy, or at least laugh.
So Gianni from the wonderful Dolce Merda asked me to do up a mix for him, and my Dolce Merda. You can check that out here.
I had wanted for a while to do a mix of the much deeper stuff I’ve been listening to lately, so I put two and two together, and here it is. The mixing is really simple, because I wanted the focus to be on the tunes more than anything else. I really love these tracks, so I hope you enjoy the mix.
I don’t normally talk about my nights or DJing or anything, but I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a weekend, so fuck it. Starting from tonight, the next few nights are going to be nuts. Tonight I’m at Somewhere? in the Workman’s club, back to back with Niall from Two Charming Men. Thursday sees a strictly deep house and techno night at Forward/Slash, as Forward/Slash present Jeff Courtney Flynn and Whisperjack. Friday starts off with Not Saying Boo! running New Year’s Eve at the Bernard Shaw, featuring some of my favourite Dublin DJs, including Frank Bingo, Shortie from Schizofonics, myself and a load of other great Dublin DJs. Then it’s over to Tripod for a set in the Lounge Room while Japanese Popstars wreck the mainstage. After the afterparty, it’s over to the New Years Day rollover party in Crawdaddy, to DJ for the 6th time in 4 days. That’s why I’m so excited for this weekend.
I just finished a new track, I hope you like it. It’s a reconstruction, i.e. a remix with no samples taken from the original track, of Outlander’s classic, The Vamp. I was going for a kind of groovy deep house vibe. Have a listen and download it if you like it.
I just finished my first original track that I’m actually pretty happy with. Some kind of mix of IDM, Nu-Disco, glitch and future-garage, really not sure what genre it is. Have a listen, and download it if you like it.
