Everytime I post about moombahton, Munchi seems to be involved. Looking at his Soundcloud, it seems he’s posted over 30 track in the last 9 months. That’s a ridiculous output, so of course it’s going to have some gems within it. Including this first track, Hope, which seems to appear nowhere on the internet except his Soundcloud, and the iTunes store. It’s a beautiful garage-moombahton crossover, with Burial influenced vocals and long, warm synths. Listen, and then buy it from the iTunes link.
Booka Shade moombahton? It works. That amazing bassline, mixed with some great Natalie Storm vocals is a winning combination.
For those who don’t speak Portugese, the track title means Ready or Not. Yep, it’s a moombahton remix of the Fugees. Nicely chilled after the break, which is the kind of moombahton I’m loving at the moment; less squeaky dutch house, and more emotion.
