Beatport Top 100s are generally a pretty awful reflection on dance music, usually filled with mainstream commercial tripe and releases being repeatedly bought by bots. However, the Top 100 Charted Tracks of 2010 list was a bit more interesting. Of course it had its fair share of commercial tripe, (how Swedish House Mafia – One got to number 5 is beyond me) but there was also some good stuff to be found in it, and reminded me of a few great tracks from this year that I’d forgotten about. You can find the first 10 here.
DJ Koze – Blume Der Nacht
Noir – Africanism
Wax – 30003 B
Jean Claude Ades – Vallee De Larmes (Pleasurekraft ‘Sideshow’ Remix)
