Forward/Slash Guest Mix #5: Raspekt
The fifth installment in the Forward/Slash guest mix series comes from Joey Cardiff, aka Raspekt. Joey is one of the minds behind the great new night, Pryme, in the Twisted Pepper, which showcases the best in UK Funky, garage, all things new and fresh, and does it very well at that. The next Pryme is February 10th in the Twisted Pepper.
I don’t need to say much about this mix, the tracklist says it all.

I had wanted for a while to do a mix of the much deeper stuff I’ve been listening to lately, so I put two and two together, and here it is. The mixing is really simple, because I wanted the focus to be on the tunes more than anything else. I really love these tracks, so I hope you enjoy the mix.

Karl Evans mix for Forward/Slash
There have been a number of Forward/Slash nights when for whatever reason the guest DJ’s set hasn’t been recorded, so to make up for it, those DJs are sending me a mix. Here is the first, from Karl Evans, a deep house connoisseur all the way from France. For this mix he gives us nearly an hour of funky tech-house. Enjoy.
